  • The medals are theirs to do with as they please, but I really feel that their energies are misdirected. The war in Iraq should not have been started. They should be protesting that Bush lied to the country and that the lives lost were unnecessaily lost.

  • JD in SD, seriously? Socioeconomic status is by and large directly related to race and racism in this country. Blacks and Hispanics have systemically been denied opportunities based on race. They are not seperate issues as you seem to imply.

  • It's not just the Bill of Rights, but also federal labor laws, as the National Labor Relations Board has pointed out, that prevents employers from censoring their employees speech. Being a private company doesn't exempt you from Constitutional provisions though.

  • I listened to Ohno's comments afterwards. I don't hear any complaining. He accepts the fact that the Canadian judge DQ'd him. Let's not try to pretend that the judge is above bias. It would be nice if he was.
